Mandy Gallant

 

 

 

Mandy has over 12 years experience in ergonomics consulting throughout Western Canada and the US.

As a Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE), Mandy provides a unique ergonomics perspective combining her experience as a physiotherapist with a Masters Degree in Human Factors and Ergonomics.  Her approach focuses on controlling the risk factors related to the workplace, as well as the risk factors related to our work habits and posture.  Her past experience lies across a variety of industries including heavy industry, mining, manufacturing, food and beverage, healthcare, laboratory, high tech, and government clients.  Mandy’s practice involves a broad spectrum of MSI prevention, ergonomic assessments and training, early intervention, product selection and design, job analyses and program development.

Mandy’s particular passion for training inspired her to complete a BEd, and has allowed her to further develop her skills as a training specialist.  She prides herself on her ability to connect with staff across all levels of the organization and to successfully guide employees and safety professionals to a greater understanding of optimal work station fit, low risk behaviors, and identification and mitigation of workplace risk factors.  Mandy ensures that every intervention has lasting value in the form of greater awareness and principle-based education that can be applied to improve physical health in all lifestyle areas.
Mandy Gallant footballAs a lifelong soccer player, Mandy still enjoys getting out on the pitch.  Weekends will find her both playing soccer and coaching/cheering on her 2 children in their various sports.  Summer break and rain outs allow time for the family to go hiking, mountain biking or participate in other outdoor fun!
